Site plan approval in stable neighbourhoods get Council green light

Aurora’s stable neighbourhoods will soon have extra protections in their corner. Council last week gave the green light to a new Site Plan Approval bylaw for new developments, redevelopments, and additions equal to or greater than 50 square metres within three communities identified as “stable neighbourhoods” – Regency Acres, Aurora Heights, and the neighbourhoods surrounding Town Park.

The Aurora Heights community will remain a part of Site Plan controls impacting Stable Neighbourhoods, despite attempts to remove it in the lead up to last week’s Council meeting.
