Caruso’s Open House is 100 years in the making

Mike Caruso is going to new heights getting Caruso & Company ready for their traditional Christmas Open House this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year, however, there’s an extra special spirit in the air as the Yonge Street store marks its 100th anniversary.

“There has been a lot of reflection on the year,” he says. “We have heard a lot of stories of people coming here as kids and remembering their parents coming here.”

So, is there a lot to live up to? Mike says the secret is to keep looking forward and change with the times, but still respecting the past.

“We stick to the tried and true and I think that is what people have come to expect of us,” he says.

Events during the open house include special deals on almost everything in store, and performances from Aurora singer Stacey Kaniuk.
