Celebrate the Tragically Hip at Town Park on August 20

Aurora will be one of nearly 90 Canadian municipalities simulcasting the Tragically Hip’s farewell concert on August 20.

Town Park will host The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration next Saturday evening, projecting the CBC’s feed on the big screen.

But, the Aurora event will be much more than a simple screening: live bands, food trucks, and other activities will conspire to make the iconic Canadian band’s final concert a night to remember.

Council approved the screening at Tuesday night’s Council meeting after an extensive debate.
