According to the calendar, it’s spring and the month of May brings the return of the Aurora Farmers’ Market to its outdoor location on Wells Street and the Town Park.
While we have lost a few vendors due to unforeseen circumstances, we have gained some new and exciting vendors and we are looking forward to a great season.
Here is a list of the vendors you can expect to find at the 2017 Farmers’ Market. This list is incomplete as we are always receiving new applications and people’s circumstances change over time.
Our farmers will include 19th Avenue Farm, Coopers CSA Farm, Howard’s Farm, Nature’s Rainbow, Oakridges Finest, Pioneer Brand Honey, Simpson Family Farm, Summerside Farm, Willowtree Farm, Pillitteri Estates Winery and a new cherry farm from the Niagara region.
Among the food vendors you can expect to find Attilio’s Fine Foods, Catharina’s Kitchen, who will now be serving coffee too, Cosmo’s Smoked Meats Ltd., Gabriel’s Café, Jan’s Country Pantry, Le Brehandaise Catering with both crepes and homemade ice cream, Nicolle’s Cakes, Nutmeg Bakeshop, Sasha’s Sweets, Speakeasy Fine Foods with breakfast burritos, and Sarah Joy who will be making Dutch pancakes and using cherry juice from the Cherry Farm as a topping.
Among the Artisans will be Eva Nagy with her fabric creations, Brainy Games, Captain Ted’s Knick-Knack-a-Tory, Designs by Moira, Eco Girl, Eurasia Jewellery Design, Green Leaf Designs, Heartsease Co., Kibo Natural Body Care, Limitless Jewels, Michelle Zikovitz, Northern Embers, Omtoria All Natural Skin Care, Out of My Mind, Kibo Natural Body Care, Sweet Scrubs N’Stuff, The Bear’s Den, The Good Soap Folk, Vallen Creations, Sammy’s Meats and Treats, and Creepy Tours.
Among the Community booths at the Farmers’ Market this season you will find the Aurora Cultural Centre, the Aurora Historical Society, the Aurora Horticultural Society, Amnesty International, the Aurora Public Library, Girl Guides, the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society serving tea, the Women’s Centre of York Region, the YMCA of Greater Toronto and Sport Aurora together with the Sports’ Hall of Fame. Please keep in mind that there may be additions or cancellations over time.
This season we will be celebrating the following Special Events as we usually do:
June 24: Strawberry Fest
July 1: Canada Day
July 22: Community Appreciation
August 19: Community Corn Roast
September 30: Culture Day
October 7: Pumpkin Fest
There will be great entertainment on these dates as well as the usual crafts and activities for children and light music throughout the season. We will continue to monitor noise levels out of respect for the neighbourhood.
We have a special request for the general public as well as for our vendors and patrons: Please do NOT park blocking anyone’s driveway or in any non-parking areas, and please obey all signage in the Town Park area. We all want the Farmers’ Market to run smoothly and for the neighbourhood to be as happy to have us as we are being there! Thank you.

See you at the Market!
