Mr. Elder was inducted into the inaugural Hall of Fame earlier this month for his eventing while Mrs. Stunden's late husband, Norm Stunden, was inducted posthumously as coach of the Aurora Diggers Girls Softball Team, and also for his long and distinguished coaching career as a whole. Plaques commemorating each of the inductees are now on display on the third floor Skylight Gallery at Aurora Town Hall, featuring biographies of each recipient. Showcases of memorabilia and historic artefacts from each honouree and Aurora's sport history have also been installed. Also honoured were tennis champion and educator Robert Bedard, Olympic basketball player Carolin “Cal” Bouchard, hockey pioneer “Hap” Holmes, alpine skier Brian Stemmle, and Frank Stronach for his contribution as a “builder” in the Aurora sporting community.
