Board of Directors
The 2015 Nomination Process for the Aurora Seniors' Association's (ASA's) Board of Directors will run Wednesday, April 1, through Friday, April 17 until 3.30 p.m. Nomination forms are available from the reception desk at the Seniors' Centre. Advance voting will be on Thursday April 30, while regular voting runs from May 2 – May 8.
Directors are elected for a three-year term which takes effect at the June Annual General Meeting and are limited to serving two consecutive terms. Directors must be Registered Members of the Association throughout their term of office. Directors are elected by the membership to serve on the Board of Directors and are elected as Directors at Large.
For the 2015-2016 Board, three director positions must be filled. Directors completing their second three-year term and not eligible for nomination in 2015 are Ruth Church and Charles Sequeira. One director completing her first 3-year term and eligible for nomination in 2015 is Carol Hedenberg. All ASA members with an active (2015) membership are entitled and encouraged to take an active role in this annual Nominations of candidates for your Board of Directors, 2015-2016.

York Region Summer Games 55+ District #14…
…will take place in May and early June. Registration Forms are now available at the reception desk. We encourage all members in this Year of Sport to participate in these events. Dates and locations of each activity are shown on the registration form.

Congratulations…
…to Jim Abram. His application to Suncor Energy Foundation was approved for a Leadership Grant for $750 in support of the Aurora Seniors Association's Volunteer Appreciation Day on April 30. They hope this contribution will assist our organization in fulfilling its fundraising goals. Suncor is proud to support Jim and the organization he serves in his community. This program recognizes volunteer leadership as an integral part of strengthening communities and allows us to further support those of us who get involved in this capacity.

Something new!
The ASA has purchased a new card scan system. Instead of manually signing in, members will now electronically sign in starting on Monday, March 30. Don't worry, we will teach you how to do it. Please stop in at Reception any Tuesday, Thursday or Friday between 10 am—2 pm to have your picture taken, if you have not already done so.
