Stand with Ukraine Walk & Vigil planned for Sunday

A walk and rally in support of Ukraine will take place on Sunday afternoon beginning at the Aurora Cenotaph.

Organized by resident Lauren Hanna, participants are encouraged to bring posters or signs opposing the war, and/or wear the national colours of Ukraine: blue and yellow.

The event will get underway at the Cenotaph (14659 Yonge Street) at 2 p.m., on March 13 with a walk north on Yonge Street to Town Park beginning at 2.10.

There, a short, silent vigil will take place “to honour all those who have been displaced by the conflict in Ukraine and conflicts elsewhere in the world.”
