Support for Welcoming Arms makes a difference

Your caring and sharing does make a difference.
Welcoming Arms, a registered charity, is an ecumenical outreach partnership of six churches, serving those in need in Aurora.
As a recipient of a very generous donation from the Empty Bowls event held on December 5, 2013, we wish to thank Sheena Griffiths, and all members of the Pine Tree Potters Guild. Your interest in and support of Welcoming Arms mission “…to promote human, physical and spiritual wellbeing in our community” is welcomed and appreciated.
This past year Welcoming Arms has experienced a noticeable increase in requests for assistance from the individuals and families within our community. The Empty Bowls donation will definitely help those in need through purchase of food vouchers, York Region Transit tickets and caring for special needs.
Empty Bowls is a joyous event. We thank you for the invitation to participate in the setting up, the lunch and the dinner. Guests and volunteers had a wonderful time.
